Lets make Ayam Asam Pedas!



How long you’ll take : Around 30 minutes
How many person this dish can serve : 6 people or less

Tools and Ingredients :
600gm of chicken pieces

Ingredient A
½ teaspoon of Chilli (pieces)
10 shallots
4 cloves od garlic
1mm onion
1 scoop of Belacan powder (recommend Maggi)
                                                                  1 table spoon of cooking oil

Ingredient B
4 stalks of lemon grass, slightly crushed
3cm of galangal, slightly crushed
½ cup of limau nipis
1 ¼ cup of plain water
3 stalks of bunga kantan, cut into small pieces
5 springs of kethum leaves
1 cube of Maggi stock (chicken essence)

Let’s Prepare Ayam Asam Pedas

Step 1 : Mix the Ingredients A and heat with cooking oil until fragrant.
Step 2 : Steam the chicken pieces and slightly fry it for 3 minutes.
Step 3 : Mix the Ingredient B and boil for 5-10 minutes. Don’t overheat.
Step 4 : Add Maggi Cube (chicken essence) and cook the whole asam pedas for another 10    
              minutes.
