People are being warned not to buy injectable cosmetic treatments over the internet because such products could lead to long term health problems or even death.
In Australia, a woman who was dubbed into buying
cosmetic injectables online had to suffer gross facial disfigurement as aresult of administering the the skin product on her face. She even suffered infections as a result od administering the product she bought
online from an
overseas company. The substance was called “HA 40 mg/ml” and was sold online via a website. It was injected into her cheeks and lips to
reduce wrinkles and improve the skin. Apart from a poor aesthetic result, she suffered a painful reaction to the foreign substance and developed severe swelling and a large infected abscess on her face.
The case of this Australian woman nursing serious facial disfigurement should act as a wake-up call to those around the world who buy skin products online- they need to stop the practice unless such products have been recommended and approved by local medical specialists. People most prone to self medicating are those who are trying to fight wrinkles and aging.
